This Diwali, you can support local craftsmanship and honor India's artisans by choosing handmade products. These diyas are crafted in Kot-Jewar, a small village near Jaipur, by the last few artisan families who have been preserving this tradition for over 100 years.
Using a unique dough made from quartz stone powder, powdered glass, Multani Mitti (Fuller’s Earth), borax, gum, and water, every diya is a unique piece of art. They are hand-drawn, painted and fired in wooden kilns, making each diya a masterpiece with its own design.
